MASN+ was launched by the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network as a direct-to-consumer streaming solution, allowing fans to access regional sports content without a traditional cable or satellite television subscription. Historically, the service provided combined coverage of both the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals. However, following a major media rights restructuring in early 2026, the Washington Nationals departed MASN to partner directly with Major League Baseball for their local broadcasts. Consequently, MASN+ has recalibrated its content strategy to focus primarily on the Baltimore Orioles, alongside remaining regional programming such as ACC college sports and original studio shows.

The platform’s core strength is its accessibility. For under $20 a month, or a flat $99.99 seasonal fee, in-market fans gain reliable, high-definition access to live Orioles games, pre-game and post-game analysis, and an extensive archive of Orioles Classics. The service is supported by a dedicated mobile and smart TV application ecosystem, ensuring broad device compatibility across iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.

The limitations are primarily regulatory and technical. Like all regional sports networks, MASN+ is strictly bound by Major League Baseball’s local blackout policies, meaning in-market fans must subscribe to watch their home team, while out-of-market fans are blocked from live game feeds. Furthermore, the streaming application, while stable, is relatively basic. It does not offer advanced features such as in-game wagering integrations, real-time advanced sabermetrics overlays, or multi-camera director modes that are becoming standard on competing national sports streaming services. Customer support for billing or streaming issues is also known to be occasionally slow during peak game times.
